The Blues have been linked with Kai Havertz Signature for a while now and are ready to push a move through this summer.
On Saturday, Bayer Leverkusen missed the champions league spot for next season meaning their revenue streams would reduced.
There are now been hints that the German club has dropped Havertz’s asking price from £90 million to just £70 million making him more attainable for the Blues and other interested sides.
Bayer Leverkusen boss Peter Bosz said this weekend on his future, as cited by football.london: “I don’t feel that he is thinking too much about transferring.
“I certainly don’t have the impression that this will be his last game for the club. He is still under contract with us and I have to assume that he will be with us next season too.
“That will include the German Cup final next month and the next Europa League game against Rangers in August.
“Of course, that’s all dependent on nothing happening before then.”
