Chelsea’s head coach Frank Lampard has faith in Christian Pulisic and believes he will only get better as he continues to settle into life in the English premier league.
The United States Starman scored a brilliant solo goal in Chelsea’s 2-1 victory over Manchester City on Thursday night which handed Liverpool the Premier League title, having also netted after coming off the bench in Sunday’s 2-1 win at Aston Villa.
And Lampard, who rewarded Pulisic with a start at Stamford Bridge, is confident that the 21-year-old will develop his game further after a mixed first season in England.
Christian Pulisic came in last summer,’ Lampard said
‘Lot of talk about it. He didn’t really get a break when he got in the team. He was playing really well and gets a really tough injury.
‘I wanted to protect him a bit against Villa, see that he could make an impact. He did that.
‘I always planned to start him against Man City because I know what he can bring in these sort of games and he brought it. He did really well.
‘He needs to keep working, he’s a young player but he’s got so much talent and he can get better and better.’
