The signing of Ajax star Matthijs  De Ligt is closing up as the star as agreed to personal terms with Juventus.

The Netherland star is the hottest on the list of wanted players in the world of football, after an incredible season with Ajax last summer.

He played brilliantly well after he led his club to the semi-final of the biggest league in the world UEFA Champions League.

Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germaine and Barcelona are the elite clubs keen on signing the Dutch defender, but the Ajax star have reportedly turned down a move to Manchester United due to their inability to qualify for a champions League spots this season.

Barcelona on the other hand is focusing on the availabilty of a good striker, not defender or now as there are still quite numbers of good defenders in the club, so getting a defender is not their major concern for now.

Paris Saint-Germaine are also looking elsewhere , after the Brazilian star, as reportedly decide to leave the club, this leave PSG no other options than to source for a replacement for him, instead of pursuing De Ligt.

During the Nations League Final between Netherland and Portugal, it was gathered that Cristiano Ronaldo told De Ligt to join Juventus.

A source gathered that the Old Lady have now agreed personal terms with the defender over a £10.75m-a-year salary. The deal, worth £53.75m across five years, would make de Ligt the second highest paid player in Turin.

Although Juventus are yet to agree on a financial package with Ajax, but the club has made it clear that they will not stop their captain from leaving the club.
