Nigerian striker, Odion Ighalo has confirmed he was made to feel welcome and comfortable by only “two or three” players in the Manchester United dressing room when he signed for the club or his dreams during the winter transfer window.

Ighalo has made a positive first impression since joining United on loan from Shanghai Shenhua in January, scoring in each of the three games he has started taking his tally to 4 goals in 3 starts and in 8 appearances in total.

He has been touted to make the move permanent but Shanghai Shenhua is not going to give up on their star striker after offering him a bumper wage deal of £400,000 per week to convince him to come back to China.

After two or three days we started living like brothers, like I’ve been there for five years, laughing together and cracking jokes together.

Especially Juan Mata, De Gea, and the other goalkeeper Romero, because they speak Spanish and I speak Spanish.”
