Newcastle United announced that their manager Rafa Benitez will be leaving the club at the end of the month.
He has been with the club for the past three years, although in the first year of his tenure , the club was relegated, but he took them back to the top.
His departure caused a lot of mixed feelings among the fans.
Sheikh Khaled, who was linked with taking over the club earlier this summer, reportedly wanted to keep Benitez at the helm, but since the taking over is not certain yet, attention is now focused on finding a new manager.
Chelsea,s former boss is already the favorite to take over the club, Mourinho who is currently not coaching any club, is sets to return to England in July.
If the former Manchester United boss could take up the offer at St James’ Park, he is capable of guiding the club back to European football again.
The Portuguese man has coached a lot of clubs in his career, likes of Manchester United, Chelsea, Real Madrid, Inter Milan, FC porto, Benfica and many more.
He has won two champions league, four English league cups, three premiership cups. He also added to his Luarels in Spain, Italy and Portugal.
All the previous Managers had always find it difficult to have a good rapour with the clubs owner Ashley, who provided only £50m for them to spend during transfer windows.
Mourinho wont want to throw himself in such situation, there are other managers who are also a possible replacement for Benitez, managers like Garry Monk, David Moyes, Anthony Hudson, Avram Grant and former manager Chris Houghton amongst the names too.
Newcastle are credibly looking to name a new manager before the team fly to China for the Premier League Asia Trophy in just over two weeks’ time.
