Nigeria Eyeing Knockout stage against Guinea

Super Eagles of Nigeria and Syli Nationale are ready to square it out in the second match of the group B match on wednesday afternoon.

Nigeria are eyeing knock-out stage against Guinea, after securing the needed three points against Burundi in their opening match on saturday.

The Syli Nationale have been tipped as the group B favorites to top the table, after  keeping a clean sheet, with an unbeaten run in their qualifying matches.

They secured three wins and three draws.the result took  them to the summit of the table, making them finished as their qualification group leaders ahead of Ivory Coast.

Odion Ighalo is set to start for the super eagles, he was benched against Burundi, the Shanghai Shenhua striker was the top scorers during their qualifying games.

He is expected to start alongside with Musa, who was also benched during their opening match.

Ahmed Musa assures NIgerians that he is fully fit for the match, he made a whole lot of difference after he came off the bench to replace the Chelsea legend John Obi Mikel.

Although the super eagles protested and even boycott their training due to the unpaid bonuses by NFF. Sportyleagues gathered that the super Eagles request have been met, and they have looked to focus on the game ahead.

Samuel Kalu’s return has boosted the Super Eagles Squad, after he was treated of dehydration, but Abdullahi Shehu wont be available for the match due to the hamstring injury he suffered.

Guinea who played a disappointing opening match against Madagascar after sharing points with them, will be looking forward to secure the much needed three points in order to keep their hopes high of advancing to the next round.

Guinea are making their 12th AFCON appearance in Egypt, their star player Naby Keita will be in action against NIgeria.
