Sancho, Haaland Breaks Goalscoring Records In Dortmund Win

The duo of Jadon Sancho and Erling Haaland made history with their goals as they beat two long-standing records of Bundesliga during Dortmund’s win over RB Leipzig at the Red Bull Arena on Saturday.


Goals from Jadon Sancho and Erling Haaland earned Dortmund a vital 3-1 win over top four rivals, RB Leipzig. Haaland scored a brace and also linked up with Sancho for the opener while Sancho continued his return to form with a goal and an assist.

Youngest Player to score 32 Bundesliga goals:

 

Jadon Sancho’s opener against RB Leipzig was his 32nd Bundesliga goal for Borussia Dortmund.

The English forward became the youngest player to reach 30+ goals at the age of just 20 years and 289 days. The record was previously held by Klaus Fischer, who is the second highest scorer in Bundesliga history.\

There has never been a player in Bundesliga history to have reached the 25 goal mark quicker than Haaland. The previous record of most goals after 25 Bundesliga matches was held by the legendary Uwe Seeler with 23 goals.

Erling Haaland now has 12 goals in just 10 Bundesliga appearances this season, and averages 69 minutes per goal. While Sancho has two goals and six assists in 13 Bundesliga appearances, and has scored and assisted in each of his last two games.
