Super Eagles beat South AFrica 2-1 to reach AFCON Semi-Final.

Nigeria Super Eagles squared it out with the Bafana Bafana of south Africa in the Quarter final match of AFCON.

The super Eagles beat Cameroon in the quarter finals , and awaited south Africa who eliminated the host nation.

Super Eagles who was without their captain John Mikel Obi starts the match on a brighter note.

Ahmed Musa captained the team, and there were some changes to the squad.

Samuel Chukwueze starts the match alongside with Ighalo and Iwobi, the Villareal star got a chance to prove himself.

He performed brilliantly well after he got a wonderful pass from Alex Iwobi, to hit the back of the nest and record his first ever goal in an international major for Nigeria.

A changed was made in the late minutes of the game, to see Musa paving way for Simon, who delivered a great assist from a corner which Ekong converted into a goal.

Samuel Chukwueze won the Total Man of the match, thanks to his wonderful goal.

When asked how he felt starting for the team and what motivation did he get from the senior players.

I feel very honoured to start for the team and when i was inform about me starting for the team,Ahmed Musa and MikelĀ  spoke to me to play my game and forget about side talks

Bafana Bafana played a very great game in the second half, and got a goal inĀ  a controversial header, which was later detected by VAR, and given as a goal.

Nigeria will now look forward to face the winner of the match between Cote’dvoire and Algeria on Sunday in Cairo.
