Super Falcons bowed narrowly with a 2-1 defeat to Canada

The super falcons who continue their

preparation for the women’s world cup in

France , took on the world number 5 team

Canada at Pinatar Arena.


The team started on a brilliant note,Desire

Oparonozie gave Nigeria an early lead in the

26th Minutes of the game



The game ended 1-0 in the first half of the

match with Nigeria leading.


Beckie Janine scored in the early minute of

the second half to bring Canada back on level

terms with them.


The Canadian team Outclass the super

Falcons with a Fantastic header from

Schmidt’s to give Canada the lead seven

minutes after the restart.


Super Falcons played excellently well in the

second half of the game ,but the Canadian

team came out stronger overturning their 1-

0 deficit.


Hard-fighting  Super_Falcons bowed

narrowly to the world no. 5, who are now

unbeaten in six games but managed to end

the North Americans’ clean-sheet record in
