Leicester City were held in a Goalless draw at King Power Stadium yesterday against Brighton Hove Albion making it their second draw in a row. It’s a back to back draw for the Foxes who were held to a 1-1 draw against Watford On Saturday.
The Nigerian midfielder Wilfred Ndidi expressed his thoughts of playing the champions league next season and believes his team can still seal a spot for the competition next season.
There are only seven games remaining to the end of the season, Ndidi believes they can still keep their spot in the top four and stage a return to the European competition since the 2016-17 season.
He said speaking to the football daily “It will be a plus to us as players, in our careers, if we can play in the Champions League. But it is something we have to work for,”
“It is not about what we have done in past matches. These eight games remaining, it is important for us to actually fight hard and pick the Champions League ticket.
“It is something we have to work for, we have to stay there. If we do our best and get the points, then we will get there.”
