Transfer windows which opens every summer and January leaves all fans in anticipation as different clubs purchase, sell, loan out and loan in various players, outstanding players are transferred from one club to another during transfers which costs lots of money and includes lengthy bargaining like player plus cash, Direct swap(player for player)e.t.c.

Gareth Bale who was signed by Real Madrid in the year 2013 for a recorded fee of 86 million pounds.The Wales attacker was once know as the world record signing.

9.Cristiano Ronaldo(Real Madrid to Juventus) – £88 million (€100m)

Cristiano Ronaldo’s transfer to Italian club was one of the most shocking switch ever.The Portuguese who switched from Real Madrid to Juventus for a fee of 88 million pounds.It was reported in early July in year 2018 that Real Madrid were considering an £88 million bid from Juventus for the player, who arrived in Madrid from Manchester United for a then-world record £80 million in 2009.

8.Eden Hazard(Chelsea to Real Madrid) – £89 million(€100m)

The Blues legend Hazard is widely considered as one of the best players in the world, Hazard is known for his creativity, speed, acceleration, dribbling and passing.He was signed by Madrid last summer for a fee of £89 million after winning the Europa league with Chelsea.The Belgium international player signed a five-year deal at the Bernabéu.

7.Paul Pogba(Juventus to Manchester United) – 89 million (€105m)

Pogba returned to former club, Manchester United, on a five-year contract for a then highest football transfer fee of 89 million surpassing the former record holder Gareth Bale.

6.Ousmane Dembele(Borussia Dortmund to Barcelona) – 97 million (€105m)

On 28 August 2017, Ousmane Dembele had his medical at La Liga Giants Barcelona and signed a five-year contract, with his buyout clause set at €400 million after they signed him for a reported fee of 97 million pounds.

5.Philippe Coutinho(Liverpool to Barcelona) – £105 million (€120m)

In January 2018, Coutinho was signed to Barcelona for a club record fee reportedly worth £105 million, which made him the world’s second most expensive player at that time.He is currently on a season long loan at German side Bayern Munich which would come to an end this summer.

4.Antoine Griezmann(Atletico Madrid to Barcelona) – £107 million (€120m)

In July 2019, Barcelona signed Antoine Griezmann from league rivals Atletico Madrid after they triggered his buyout clause claimed to be 107 million pounds.The player signed a contract with his new club which would last till 30 June 2024, with a buyout clause of 800 million euros.

3.Joao Felix(Benfica to Atletico Madrid) – £114.1 million (€126m)

Due to the loss of star player Antoine Griezmann to Barcelona who triggered his buyout clause, Atletico Madrid decided to get a new and energetic star for whom they bought Joao Felix for a reported fee of 114.1 million pounds which became the third highest transfer fee paid for a footballer in history.

2.Kylian Mbappe(AS Monaco to Paris Saint Germain) – £116 million (€135m)

After an impressive first season in French Ligue 1, where he displayed his star potentials, PSG executed their plan to purchase the young striker and paid Monaco 135 million pounds which became the second highest transfer fee paid for a player in world football.

1.Neymar Jr(Barcelona to Paris Saint Germain) – £198 million (€222m)

The amount of 222 million Euros was paid by French league champions Paris Saint Germain to sign Neymar.In the summer of 2017, PSG triggered the release clause on Neymar’s contract at Spanish club Barcelona in order to bring him to the Parc des Princes stadium.
The current world transfer record was set by the transfer of Neymar from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain.
